Journey
Thirteen
years ago a pup was discarded in a cardboard box outside the Maple
Ridge SPCA and this little boy came home to live with our family,
forever.
Journey brought with him a joy and zest for life. He excelled in his training classes because he loved to learn, he accepted foster after foster because he loved to love and he adored his other forever fur friends because he understood their needs.
Our boy watched his human sister move from childhood to motherhood, he enjoyed the grandbabies that came into his life and he cherished all the Auntie's that surrounded him with love. There was a special bond between Journey and his Dad, together they were one and their relationship made each of them whole.
Running through the woods or along the beach sent his spirit flying and the back deck at home was a comfortable place to eat bones and observe the eagles above.
Journey was also a very special friend to many who felt loss, his heart was connected to those in need and he gladly gave of himself so that others would be comforted when in pain or in grief.
For thirteen years we were a family and now the bond of our circle is broken. With tears streaming we wished our boy a loving goodbye, we thanked him for all that he had given and we explained that his beloved friends would be waiting for him when he arrived to begin his new adventure.
Life here is so different now dear Journey and our hearts are aching yet they continue to beat with your memory forever a part of us and the years we spent together.
We were blessed, beyond blessed to share our lives with a soul as special as yours and we grieve for the loss of your physical presence in this home that is now so empty.
You are so sadly missed ...
With all our love,
Mom, Dad and all that loved you.
